Depending on the technique, Dr. Roy performs brow lift surgery with the patient under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. Sedation is a “lighter” form of anesthesia, with patients being extremely relaxed and sleepy but not unconscious. The procedure typically lasts 1 to 2 hours. Dr. Roy ensures that every step is executed precisely for natural-looking results.
Brow lift recovery typically takes 10 to 14 days for initial healing, with residual swelling and refinement continuing to improve over several weeks. It depends partly on the technique used. Most bruising and swelling subside in 1 to 2 weeks, with sutures or staples removed after a week. You can resume low-impact activities in 2 weeks and high-impact workouts or activities in 3 or 4 weeks. Most patients feel comfortable returning to work within 7 to 10 days of their procedure.
