Some Clear and Brilliant results can be seen as soon as 7-10 days after treatment. Results are cumulative however and get better and better as you progress into the series of 6 treatments.
Clear and Brilliant is a gentle laser that rejuvenates your skin from the inside out. The laser’s energy creates millions of microscopic treatment zones in the upper layers of the skin, replacing damaged skin with healthy, younger looking tissue.
There are 2 different wavelengths and handpieces associated with Clear & Brilliant and your doctor will advise which treatment (non ablative or partially ablative) would be better for addressing your goals. The classic Clear & Brilliant is 1440-nanometer wavelength laser which focuses on texture, smoothing out your skin, reducing pore size and diminishing fine lines. It’s best for those who have rough skin concerns, or are focused on minimizing the signs of aging.
The Permea Clear and Brilliant laser head is a 1927-nanometer wavelength laser that focuses on color issues such as sunspots, hyperpigmentation, and melasma. Because this wavelength makes millions of temporary small microchannels in the skin, it is the perfect mechanism for delivering age-defying ingredients into the dermis at the level where those serums can really go to work and fight dyschromia and pigmentation.
Although Clear & Brilliant is safe for most skin conditions, there are times when we recommend an underlying condition is first resolved before laser treatment. Examples include active robust acne breakouts, eczema, rashes, and rosacea. One common and pervasive skin condition that can be combated by Clear and Brilliant is melasma, sunspots, brown spots, and age spots.
Your skin may be slightly red for up to 12 hours. After that time period, in most people’s skin, the redness fades and a very subtle roughness may develop and remain for about 3-4 days. During this period, do not use any exfoliants and just moisturize your face as you normally do. Refrain from retinol or RetinA until about 7 days post-treatment.
For the first few days after Clear and Brilliant treatment, cleanse your skin using a gentle cleanser. Avoid scrubbing, rubbing, or use of exfoliants. Avoid excessive exercise, perspiration, swimming, or exposing skin to heat and sun for 2 days after treatment.
Patients can expect results after a series of Clear and Brilliant to last up to 8-12 months. Some of our most successful and devoted patients complete a series, and then do a single refresher treatment every 3-4 months and get undeniable results.
