KYBELLA is formulated with deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that helps break down and absorb dietary fat. When injected beneath the chin, it destroys fat cells in the treatment area. Once these cells are eliminated, they cannot return, creating a sleeker, more contoured profile.

Your anatomy and goals are unique, which is why our providers create a personalized treatment plan. Most people need a series of injections spaced several weeks apart to achieve their best results. With each session, you’ll notice a gradual improvement in the shape and definition of your chin and jawline, all without surgery or downtime.
Each treatment takes only about 10 to 15 minutes. Some patients need 2 or 3 sessions, while others may require 5 or 6 to achieve the desired results.
In some cases, we may recommend complementary treatments, such as dermal fillers or EMFACE® facial toning treatments, to further support chin and jawline definition once submental fullness has been reduced.
Like most injectable procedures, KYBELLA involves minimal downtime. Common side effects include swelling, redness, firmness, or tenderness in the treatment area, which typically resolve within a week or two. These are typical signs that your body is responding to treatment and breaking down fat cells. We provide detailed aftercare instructions to ensure you feel comfortable during your recovery.
