The full results of HALO can last for years after you complete a series of treatments. However, you’ll still want to keep—or start—a vigilant daily sunscreen regimen. HALO reveals new skin, and it needs protection. Every time you get another HALO procedure, the results get better. It’s a fantastic tool for sun-damaged skin, aging, large pores, discoloration, scars, fine lines, and more.
HALO and microneedling treat similar concerns but use different approaches to stimulate collagen production. Laser skin resurfacing removes the skin’s top layer, while microneedling punctures the skin using tiny needles. Both result in smoother, more youthful-looking skin.
After the treatment, RefinedMD will give you personalized care instructions for the first 24 hours. Get in your workouts beforehand, because you might be put on a no-squats and no-cardio regimen for a day. Doctor’s orders. After that, all normal activities can resume, including wearing makeup.
By day 3, the skin will start to bronze, but slow your roll, beach gods and goddesses. By day 4, your skin will begin to peel, so you’ll want to time your festivals, parties, and galas around this procedure. You’ll get a sneak peek of the new, younger-looking skin below the peel, but most people tend to lay low for the first week.
