Lower Eyelid Before & After Case 1088

This 71-year-old female presented at RefinedMD for treatment of large lower eyelid bags which she felt made her look significantly older than she felt, especially considering the more youthful appearance of the rest of her face and neck. She had previously tried numerous non-surgical treatments to try and reduce the puffy appearance under her eyes but wanted a more dramatic, long-lasting improvement. The patient met with board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Sudeep Roy to discuss surgical options. Dr. Roy identified the issue, prolapsed orbital fat (fat around the eye) starting to fall forward and show. There was also significant skin laxity in the lower eyelid which needed to be addressed as well. The patient underwent bilateral lower blepharoplasty (lower eyelid lift surgery) through an incision on the inside of the eyelid as well as skin pinch excision (removal of excess skin).
