This is a 65-year-old female with a previous history of two prior lower facelifts (not at our practice). She presented with concerns related to prominent wrinkles in the lower cheek adjacent to her mouth as well as bothersome crepy skin on her neck which made her very self-conscious, particularly in photos. She underwent a limited incision lower facelift in the office followed by peri-oral (around the mouth) fractional laser treatment. The procedure restored a youthful contour to her lower face and neck in a very natural way, while providing a smoother skin layer to brighten her complexion. Under our guided post-operative skin maintenance program, this patient will be able to enjoy this look for many years to come!
Believe it or not, it is actually quite common for patients to undergo three facelifts in their lifetime and this aligns with the goal of aesthetic facial plastic surgery of maintaining one’s youthful appearance for as long as naturally and physically possible. Seeking a board-certified facial plastic surgeon with extensive experience in revision facelift surgery is critical to minimize the additional risks associated with revision surgery.
