How Laser Skin Rejuvenation Works
When skin experiences controlled injuries via laser skin rejuvenation or microneedling, it heals naturally and to a better state than pre-treatment. Laser energy on the skin is based on “selective photothermolysis,” which means that different wavelengths target different skin chromosomes. Ready for a lesson? Pencils up. The three key targets in the skin are hemoglobin, water, and melanin.
RefinedMD Has 20+ Lasers!
The range of lasers at RefinedMD lets us target any of skin at various wavelengths to achieve the best possible outcome. Some dermatology offices have only a few lasers, which means they can’t target all combinations or personalize treatment. All lasers that can target skin tissues will create some results, but the real science and artistry of optimal skin improvement is having the right laser for the skin.
In addition to IPL, Genesis Plus, Excel V, Cutera, and Qx Max, the following technologies are some of our most popular:
Because we have 20+ choices that include the latest laser technologies, it may seem overwhelming to know which one to choose. It’s best to come to your consultation with your goals in mind, not specific lasers. Our advanced technology can address a wide range of concerns, including:
Most lasers can take care of multiple concerns. Sometimes we combine laser treatments in the same appointment to give you more comprehensive results than possible with a single option. Learn more in this blog post.
In addition to laser treatments, microneedling is a fast, easy, and affordable way to encourage the skin to produce more collagen. I think we can all admit that baby skin is the pinnacle of healthy skin. Why? Because it’s brand-spanking-new. The idea behind laser skin rejuvenation is that damaged layers of skin are removed to create and reveal new layers of skin reminiscent of baby skin. The phrase softer than a baby’s bottom, but on our face? Yes, please.
Microneedling isn’t the only addition or alternative to laser therapy. There’s also high intensity focused ultrasound, strong light-based treatments to control inflammation and aging, and radiofrequency (we’re not talking Walkie Talkies here). For a successful treatment, the skin type and issues need to be matched with the lasers and complementary procedures.
