Camille Styles Tries Emface

Beauty expert Camille Styles recently blogged about her experience with Emface, the latest BTL technology to lift and tighten the face with no needles or downtime. At RefinedMD, we are the first clinic in the area to offer this treatment—and it’s already become a client favorite. Styles is 39 and says she’s stared to notice early signs of aging like fine lines, asymmetrical eyelids due to sagging, and skin laxity. She sought out Emface as an alternative because of results that can come from subpar injectors (though if you’re all about Botox and dermal fillers, they can complement Emface and look completely natural if you go to a reputable clinic!). Emface requires just 20 minutes per session.

Emface works via Synchronized Radiofrequency (RF), which heats up the dermis and, in turn, stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the treated area. Simultaneously, HIFES technology contracts key facial muscles to give them a “workout” in order to better define the jawline and improve contouring. If this sounds kind of familiar, it’s because Emface is from the makers of Emsculpt and Emsculpt NEO, the revolutionary technologies that build and tone body muscles with supramaximal contractions. It uses the same idea. When some muscles get stronger and more toned, a lift occurs naturally. According to BTL, Emface is the “first therapy that works on the framework of your face from the inside out. They explain,

just like a house needs a solid foundation and support beams, your face requires a toned structure and connective tissue. Emface addresses these critical elements, providing you with the ultimate foundation and toned muscles without wrinkles. The end result is a more refreshed, volumized, and lifted appearance.

Em Your Face

Styles says her provider has seen visible results with improvements in drooping due to aging after clients use this tech. Lifts are most visible in the lower face, within the nasolabial folds (smile lines), and on the jawline. You can also achieve a lift in the brows with less upper eyelid heaviness. Clinical trials show that on average clients achieve a 37 percent reduction in wrinkles, a 23 percent increase in lift, and 30 percent increase in muscle tone. “It absolutely works,” Styles’ provider told her. “But it is a series of 4 treatments. Each treatment builds on the last.”

The same is true of Emsculpt and Emsculpt NEO. You can’t achieve optimal muscle tone in just one session (that would be like working out once at the gym and expecting great results). It’s important to adhere to your schedule in order to get maximum, long-lasting benefits. Following your series of treatments, maintenance sessions are recommended every 6 – 12 months. Anyone can benefit from Emface as long as your goals are to lift a part of your face.

Styles’ Experience

Styles says that “since there’s no needles and no pain involved with these treatments, I was excited and not at all nervous.” Her provider took before photos before running applicators over her cheeks and forehead. Styles reports that although it is painless, the treatment feels “very strange.” She says, “I felt alternating muscle contractions in the levator muscles of the forehead area, which caused me to involuntarily lift my brows and ‘smile’ with my cheek muscles.” Styles laughed through part of the treatment imagining how she must have looked. She also noticed a heating sensation from the RF, but it felt similar to hot stones.

According to Styles, one of the best parts of Emface is there’s nothing you need to do to prepare and no recovery treatment—making it a fantastic option for any time of the year. Like a lot of clients, she started to see some results after the first treatment, but results peak 90 days after the last treatment. Styles says she felt her skin was tighter and more lifted immediately after the first treatment, but it was at number three that she realized her skin had “never looked better.” Treatments can be scheduled anywhere from 5 – 10 days apart with results lasting up to one year.

Are you ready to try Emface? Styles says she ranks it a 10 out of 10 and loves how she could both see and feel a difference. Schedule your consultation or appointment with RefinedMD today by calling the office or completing the online contact form.
