14 Nov IPL is the Secret to Real Housewife’s Flawless Skin
When the Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak-Biermann posted a makeup-free selfie tagging an IPL treatment on Instagram, her followers couldn’t believe the 40-year-old hadn’t used a filter. Appointments for light-based therapies started to increase around the country, including at RefinedMD where procedures like IPL, BBL, and Halo are offered. “My chest and face are glowing,” she said. The flawless selfie was taken after an intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment, one of the leading procedures for sun-damaged skin.

Given Zolciak-Biermann’s undeniable glow, the treatment certainly worked. Comments like “Umm stunning!!! I wish I looked like that getting out of the pool,” started to roll in. Others didn’t believe that a filter hadn’t been used. However, others were quick to notice the aggressive lip injectables. “Did you get stung by a bee or wasp?” one asked. Another urged her to “stop with the lip filler.” It is very common to pair IPL treatments with fillers, but it is also easy to go overboard with the injectables or for some clinics to choose the wrong injectable for a client. At RefinedMD, there are a variety of treatments for those wanting to combine IPL with fillers for an all-natural, gorgeous result.
Zolciak-Biermann has always been relatively transparent about cosmetic procedures. She admitted to Entertainment Tonight in 2016 that, “I’ve done my lips. I’ve been getting Botox since I was young, for migraines initially and now it’s the obvious reason.” Botox can be used to treat a variety of issues, both esthetic and medical and is one of the most popular treatments at clinics.
“I’ve had my boobs done,” she’s also stated. “I fixed my hernia and had a tummy tuck at the same time, you know, it’s one in the same.” While her fans adore that she is so open about the aging process and procedures she has had and loved, it has also opened her up to some harsh criticism. However, when it comes to her skin, there was nothing anyone could say because the results speak for themselves.
